Science
The School of Science was established in 1960 at Waishuanshi Campus with the Department of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Later, the Departments of Microbiology and Psychology were added. The School has master’s degree programs in Microbiology, Mathematics, and Chemistry. Our educational and academic focuses are:
Theory and practice are both emphasized. Experiments and practice are conducted in-groups and sections.
To enhance teaching quality, we rely on multi-media and computer-assisted programs.
General knowledge and common courses are required of science majors.
We maintain good relationship with some clinical and consulting institutions where students can be offered their opportunity of internship.
We advocate experiment safety and promote the consciousness of environmental protection.
We involve ourselves in research projects sponsored by the national Science Council, the Agricultural Committee, the Department of Health, as well as some local manufactures.
Each department is encouraged to cooperate with their worldwide counterparts in academic research.
